All our coffee tables are designed and handcrafted in our workshop just outside Edinburgh, Scotland.
Each design is original to Glencairn Furniture — conceived to be as beautiful to live with as it is to look at, and built from the finest solid hardwoods to last a lifetime. From the clean minimalism of the Cascada to the playful wit of the Jeevz Butler Tray, every piece in our coffee table collection has a distinct character and a story behind its design.
You can order a coffee table exactly as shown, have a piece tailored to your specific dimensions, timber choice or finish, or commission an entirely new design through our bespoke commissioning service.

Description:
This coffee table was created to satisfy a client’s wish for a contemporary interpretation of the classic butler tray table.
The sleek, chamfered legs and overlapping cross supports combine with the shallow table lip to produce a modern minimalist design which can suit a range of interior stylings.
Shown here in stunning American Black Walnut with Italian white gold gilding detail.
Alternative combinations can include oak, sweet chestnut or ash timber and gold, silver and copper gilding details in a variety of designs (as shown in image 5).
Length, width and height can be tailored to your exact specifications.

Description:
Named after the Spanish for ‘waterfall’, the Cascada coffee table is characterised by flowing lines, fine details and beautiful hardwood.
Its minimalist design features subtle chamfered edges which lighten its profile and provides satisfying detail.
A narrower shelf sits under the main table top. This creates a discreet space for storing picture books, mats and other coffee table essentials.
Pictured here in American black walnut. Other recommended hardwoods include European oak and white ash.

Description:
This elegant, clean-lined coffee table is characterised by a pleasingly proportioned oval top, set off by a striking chamfer running around its top edge.
The frame consists of four round legs joined by delicately sweeping stretchers which echo the curvature of the top.
The two-tone design lends itself to an array of styling options mixing different hardwoods and finishes.

Description:
Experience the true epitome of elegance with our luxury handcrafted Soulster Coffee Table, meticulously handcrafted in Edinburgh from the finest hardwoods.
The table takes its inspiration from the Danish architect and furniture designer, Finn Juhl - famous for his separation of the borne and bearing elements furniture.
This design approach is reflected in the Soulster’s clear division of its top and frame and reinforced by a contrast in hardwood timbers and finishes - shown here in various combinations of premium oak, sumptuous walnut and ebonished ash.
These design elements combine to create the illusion of the fluted top floating above the leg frame, achieving a sense of visual lightness and elegance.

Description:
The Telfer Coffee Table takes its design cues from the elegance of the Georgian and Regency periods, reinterpreted for the contemporary interior.
Its defining feature is the sweeping serpentine curve that runs along both the front and back edges of the top, and is echoed in the shaped front and back aprons beneath. This flowing line — at once restless and composed — gives the Telfer a sculptural quality that sets it apart from the clean-lined minimalism of most modern coffee table design.
Four elegantly tapered legs complete the silhouette, their gentle taper drawing the eye downward and lending the table a lightness that belies its generous proportions.
Set into the front apron, a small solid brass maker's plate carries the Glencairn Furniture name — a quiet but considered detail that speaks to the provenance and permanence of the piece.
Handcrafted in Edinburgh from the finest solid mahogany, each Telfer Coffee Table is individually made and finished by hand. The rich, warm grain of the mahogany deepens with age, ensuring that every piece becomes more beautiful over time.
The Telfer is also available in a range of other premium hardwoods — including American black walnut, European oak and cherry — for those who wish to complement a different interior palette.

Description:
Following the success of our Chevron bookcase, we’ve utilised the same design aesthetics to create this elegant coffee table.
Once again the chevron-shaped legs and knockdown wedged tenons combine to create a solid but sophisticated structure. The generous, double-chamfered top completes the look.
In common with its bookcase sibling, the wedged tenons and hidden connector fittings allow for easy disassembly into ‘flat-pack’ form for convenient and low carbon shipping.
