Every piece in our accessories collection is made from the finest solid hardwoods — American black walnut, oak, ash, cherry and mahogany — using the same traditional techniques and hand-applied finishes that define everything we make.

Description:
The Cairn Drinks Tray is a small object made with the same rigour and intention as our largest commissions.
Handcrafted in Edinburgh from the finest solid American black walnut, its deep, warm grain and naturally varied figure ensure that no two trays are ever identical. The walls are precisely mitred and joined at each corner with solid brass splines — a detail that is both structural and decorative, catching the light and announcing the quality of the making from across the room.
The cut-through handles are clean and considered, offering a comfortable, confident grip.
At 425mm square and 75mm deep, the Cairn is generously proportioned — at home on a coffee table, an ottoman, a sideboard or a drinks cabinet. It holds a decanter, glasses and a candle with ease, bringing a quiet order to whatever surface it occupies.
The Cairn Drinks Tray is finished with a hand-applied oil wax that enhances the grain and provides a durable, maintainable surface. It is also available in oak, ash, cherry and mahogany — and can be made to your own dimensions, making it as well suited to a window seat or butler's tray table as to a living room coffee table.
